Report This
report written in July of 1998, results from a rigorous
investigation into the impact of the economic downturn and
the potential longer-term implications for healthcare systems
throughout the Asia-Pacific region. Six countries (Hong
Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand)
were selected as they were both suffering economically and
attempting to implement innovative healthcare delivery or
financing schemes. The report contains overviews of each
country’s healthcare system providing specific information
on how services were provided and funded, the impact of
the crisis and forecasts for future impact. AHV managed
a collaborative effort with The Economist Intelligence Unit
and Rabobank to produce "Impact of the Crisis"
of which more than 10,000 copies were disseminated globally.
